The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Assam has officially announced the admission process for the 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) course for the academic session 2025–2027. Candidates who wish to become school teachers at the elementary level must appear in the Pre-Entry Test (PET) 2025 to be eligible for admission.

Eligibility Criteria for D.El.Ed Admission

Resident Criteria

• Only permanent residents of Assam are eligible to apply.

Educational Qualification

• Passed Higher Secondary (HS)/10+2 or equivalent from any recognized board with at least:
  • 50% marks (General category)
  • 45% marks (SC/ST/ ST(H) candidates)

Age Limit (As on 01/07/2025)

• Minimum: 18 Years
• Maximum: 34 Years
• Relaxation: 2 years for SC, ST(P), and ST(H) candidates

Application Fee

• All categories: ₹600/-
  Payment can be made online via Debit/Credit card, Internet Banking, or UPI.

1. Visit SCERT PET Official Website
2. Click on “Online Application Form”
3. Register as a new user with your basic details.
4. Log in using your credentials and fill in personal, academic, and other required details.
5. Upload documents including photograph and signature.
6. Pay the application fee online and submit the form.
7. Take a printout of the application form for future reference.
