Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit (as on 01-01-2025)
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 40 years
Age Relaxation:
- Ex-Servicemen: 2 years
- OBC/ MOBC: 3 years
- SC/ST (P/H): 5 years
- PwD: 10 years
Small Family Norms: Candidates with more than two living children born on or after 01/01/2021 are not eligible as per government policy.
Medium of Instruction
The Language-I or Language-II in TET/ CTET/ BTC TET must match the medium of instruction of the school the candidate is applying for.
TET Requirement
Candidates must have passed ATET / BTC TET / CTET for LP or UP level as applicable.

- Higher Secondary (10+2) with at least 50% marks
- 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
- Valid TET for LP (Assam/ BTC/ Central)
Assistant Teacher (Upper Primary – UP)
- Higher Secondary + Graduate from UGC-recognized university
- 2-year DElEd or B.Ed./B.El.Ed
- Valid TET for UP
Science Teacher (UP)
- Higher Secondary + B.Sc. from UGC-recognized university
- 2-year DElEd or B.Ed./B.El.Ed
- Valid TET for UP
Hindi Teacher (UP)
- Higher Secondary + Graduation with Hindi as a subject
- 2-year DElEd or B.Ed./B.El.Ed
- Valid TET for UP
