The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the official notification for the Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Exam 2025 for the recruitment of 3131 Group C posts in various Ministries/ Departments/ Offices of the Government of India and various Constitutional Bodies/ Statutory Bodies/ Tribunals, etc.

- Name of exam: Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination, 2025
- Name of posts: Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/ Junior Secretariat Assistant, Data Entry Operator (DEO), Data Entry Operator, Grade “A”
- No of posts: 3131 posts (approx.)
- Pay Scale:
- Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/ Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA): Pay Level-2 (Rs. 19,900-63,200)
- Data Entry Operator (DEO): Pay Level-4 (Rs. 25,500-81,100) and Level-5 (Rs. 29,200-92,300)
- Data Entry Operator, Grade ‘A’: Pay Level-4 (Rs. 25,500-81,100)
Educational Qualification
- Data Entry Operator (DEO)/ DEO Grade ‘A’ in Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution and Ministry of Culture: 12th Standard pass in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent.
- LDC/JSA and DEO/DEO Grade ‘A’ (except DEOs in Department/ Ministry mentioned above): Candidates must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.
Other Eligibility Criteria
- Age Limit: Candidates age must be between 18 to 27 years as on 01st January 2026 i.e. Candidates born not before 02-01-1999 and not later than 01-01-2008 are eligible to apply.

- PWD (OBC): 13 years
- PWD (SC/ ST): 15 years

- Scheme of CHSL Examination: Candidates applied online for Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Exam and found eligible will have to appear in Computer Based Examinations to be held in two tiers:
Tier I (Computer Based Examination)
- The Tier-I Examination will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions only. The questions will be set in English, Hindi and any language opted by the candidate in the application form.
- Type of questions: Questions will be Objective Type, Multiple Choice Questions.
- Total marks: 200 marks
- No of questions: 100 questions
- Negative marking: There will be negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer.
- Time duration: 60 minutes (80 minutes for the candidates eligible for scribe as per official notification).

Tier II (Computer Based Examination)
- Candidates who qualify for SSC CHSL Tier I will have to appear in SSC CHSL Tier II, which consists of two sessions, each with specific sections.
