About Tool Room & Training Centre, Guwahati
Tool Room & Training Centre (TRTC), Guwahati has been set up by the Government of India to meet the tooling and technical training needs of industries in the North Eastern Region.
The State Government of Assam has provided land and the initial building for the centre.
TRTC is registered as a Government of India Society since 24 February 2000 and is located at Amingaon Industrial Area, North Guwahati Road, Guwahati-781031.
The campus includes an Administrative Block, Training Block, Modern Workshop, Knowledge Centre, Staff Quarters and Hostel.

Educational Qualification
1. General Graduate Apprentice
- Graduation in Arts / Science / Commerce from a government-recognised institute or university.
- Desirable: 6-month Certificate Course in Computer Application.
2. Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) Apprentice
- BCA degree from a government-recognised institute or university.
- Desirable: 6-month Certificate Course in Computer Application.
Age Limit
- Age limit is not specifically mentioned in the notification. Candidates should follow applicable apprenticeship norms.
Stipend
- ₹12,000 per month (approx.) during the apprenticeship period.
