Eligibility Criteria of IOCL Pipelines Division Recruitment 2026
1. Age Limit
- Minimum age: 18 years
- Maximum age: 24 years
- Cut-off date: 31 January 2026
Age relaxation
- SC / ST: 5 years
- OBC / MOBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
- PwBD (General / EWS): 10 years
- PwBD (OBC–NCL): 13 years
- PwBD (SC / ST): 15 years
2. Educational Qualification (Trade Wise)
a) Technician Apprentice (Mechanical)
- 3-year full time Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Automobile Engineering
(lateral entry after Class 12 (Science) / ITI into 2nd year of Diploma is also acceptable) - Diploma must be from a Government recognised institute.
b) Technician Apprentice (Electrical)
- 3-year full time Diploma in Electrical Engineering
OR - 3-year full time Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering
- From a Government recognised institute.
c) Technician Apprentice (Telecommunication & Instrumentation)
3-year full time Diploma in any one of the following disciplines from a Govt. recognised institute:
- Electronics & Communication Engineering
- Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering
- Electronics & Radio Communication Engineering
- Instrumentation & Control / Process Control Engineering
- Electronics Engineering
d) Trade Apprentice – Assistant (Human Resource)
- Full time Bachelor’s Degree (Graduation) in any discipline
- From a Government recognised University / Institute.
e) Trade Apprentice – Accountant
- Full time B.Com / Commerce Graduate
- From a Government recognised University / Institute.
f) Data Entry Operator – Fresher Apprentice
- Class 12 pass (10+2) from a recognised board
- Candidate must not be a Graduate.
g) Domestic Data Entry Operator – Skill Certificate Holder
- Class 12 pass (10+2), below Graduate level
- Along with a Skill Certificate of “Domestic Data Entry Operator”
- Certificate duration: less than one year
- Issued by an awarding body recognised under National Skill Qualifications Framework (NSQF) or any other authority recognised by the Central Government.
Candidates must possess the required qualification as on the last date of application.

Before filling the IOCL online form, candidates have to register themselves on the respective apprenticeship portals:

- Technician Apprentice – Mechanical / Electrical / Telecommunication & Instrumentation
- Register at: nats.education.gov.in (NATS portal)
- Trade Apprentice – Assistant (HR) & Accountant
- Also register at: nats.education.gov.in
