The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Assam has officially released the notification for D.El.Ed. Admission 2025–2027. If you’re looking to pursue a career in teaching at the elementary level, this is your opportunity to enroll in the 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) course. But first, you’ll need to appear for the Pre-Entry Test (PET) 2025.
This course will be conducted at NCTE-recognized Teacher Education Institutes (DIETs, CTEs, Normal Schools, BTCs, and Private TEIs) across Assam.

Eligibility Criteria
- Residential Requirement: Only permanent residents of Assam can apply.
- Educational Qualification: Must have passed Higher Secondary (+2) or equivalent with at least 50% marks (excluding optional subjects).
- SC/ST/ ST(H) candidates get a relaxation of 5% in minimum marks.
- Age Limit: 18 to 34 years as of 1st July 2025.
- Age relaxation of 2 years for SC, ST(P), and ST(H) candidates.
- Reservation: Seats reserved as per Government norms for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/PWD, etc.

Admit Card for PET 2025
Candidates can download their PET 2025 admit card from 5th July 2025 at scertpet.co.in by logging in with their application number and date of birth.
Exam Venue
The PET exam center will be assigned based on the district you choose during the application. The allotted TEI for admission will be in the same district as your PET center.
