Eligibility Criteria

• Gender: Both male and female candidates are eligible.
• Physical Standards: Minimum height 152 cm for both genders (147 cm for NE/UTs, 150 cm for Lakshadweep). Other medical standards as per IAF guidelines.

Medical Standards

• Height: Minimum 152 cm (male & female); lower limits apply to specific regions.
• Chest: Male – minimum circumference 77 cm, expansion ≥5 cm. Female – well‑proportioned chest with expansion ≥5 cm.
• Weight: Proportionate to height and age.
• Gynaecological Examination: For female candidates only.
• Pregnancy: Pregnant candidates are disqualified.
• Hearing: Normal hearing – able to hear forced whisper from 6 m distance in each ear.

Application Procedure

Exam Pattern & Selection Process

• Online Test: Objective type, 85 minutes (both science and non‑science categories). English & Hindi papers except the English paper. Negative marking of 0.25 marks per wrong answer.
• Syllabus: Science – Physics, Mathematics, English as per CBSE 10+2 syllabus. Non‑science – English, Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA).
• Physical Fitness Test (PFT): Two parts – PFT‑I (1.6 km run within 7 min for males / 8 min for females) and PFT‑II (push‑ups, sit‑ups, squats with specified time limits).
• Adaptability Test-II: Conducted after PFT‑II.
