Eligibility Criteria for SSC Constable GD 2026
Nationality
- Candidate must be a citizen of India.
- Vacancies in CAPFs and Assam Rifles are State/UT/area-wise.
- A Domicile/PRC (Permanent Resident Certificate) of the concerned State/UT is required.
Age Limit (as on 01.01.2026)
- 18 to 23 years
- Candidate should be born between 02.01.2003 and 01.01.2008 (both dates inclusive).
Age Relaxation
- SC / ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- Ex-Servicemen: 3 years
Educational Qualification
- Must have passed Matriculation / Class 10 from a recognised Board or University on or before 01.01.2026.
Domicile / PRC Condition
- Vacancies are allotted State/UT-wise.
- Candidates must produce Domicile/PRC of the same State/UT mentioned in the online form at the time of DME/Documents Verification.
- If there is any mismatch, the candidature will be cancelled and the candidate will not be allowed for Detailed Medical Examination.
- Change of State/UT at a later stage is not allowed.
