Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has invited online applications for 35 Member posts in the State and District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commissions of Assam.

APSC Member Vacancy 2026 – Post Details

  1. Member, Assam State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (Non-Judicial)
    • No. of posts: 1
    • Pay band: ₹30,000 – ₹1,10,000 (PB-4)
    • Grade pay: ₹17,500
  2. Member, District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission
    • No. of posts: 34
    • Pay band: ₹30,000 – ₹1,10,000 (PB-4)
    • Grade pay: ₹15,700

Age Limit (as on 01.01.2025)

  • State Commission Member (Non-Judicial):
    • Minimum age: 40 years
  • District Commission Member:
    • Minimum age: 35 years

The age of the candidate will be verified from Class 10 / Class 12 Admit Card or Pass Certificate / Marksheet issued by a recognised board or council, where the date of birth is clearly mentioned.

Educational Qualification

  • Must be a graduate in any discipline from a UGC recognised institution.
  • The degree must be obtained through regular mode.
  • Candidates who completed graduation through distance or correspondence mode are not eligible.

Required Experience

APSC is looking for people of ability, integrity and standing with:

  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in any of the following areas:
    • consumer affairs
    • law
    • public affairs
    • administration
    • economics
    • commerce or industry
    • finance or management
    • engineering or technology
    • public health
    • medicine

Along with the application, candidates must upload supporting documents:

  1. Experience certificate clearly showing at least 10 years of work in the relevant field.
  2. For candidates from law background, copies of Bar Council Registration and certificate from District Court / High Court showing 10 years of practice.
  3. For those currently working or who have worked in any organisation, a certificate from the employer certifying experience in the concerned field.
  4. For self-employed professionals, a certificate from organisations with which the candidate has been associated, confirming the nature and duration of service.

Applications without proper proof of experience are likely to be rejected.

Other Eligibility Conditions

Citizenship

  • Candidate must be an Indian citizen as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.

Small Family Norms

  • Applicants have to submit a declaration in Form-A stating that they follow the “Small Family Norms” as prescribed by the Government.
