Vacancy Details in Assam
Assam has 40 Local Bank Officer posts. The exam centres for the online test are Guwahati, Jorhat, Silchar, Dibrugarh and Tezpur.
Eligibility Criteria
- Age: 21 to 30 years as on 1st August 2026. Category‑wise relaxations are available (see table below).
- Educational Qualification: Graduate in any discipline from a recognised university/institution.
- Post‑Qualification Experience: Minimum one year of experience as an officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank listed in the Second Schedule of RBI.
- Language Proficiency: Must be proficient (reading, writing, speaking and understanding) in the local language of the state applied for. Candidates with a 10th/12th mark sheet showing study of that language are exempted from the Local Language Proficiency Test.

Selection Process
The selection process comprises an online test, a Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT), Group Discussion/Personal Interview (GD/PI) and final shortlisting based on overall performance.
