The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB), under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, has released a short employment notification (CEN No. 05/2025) for the recruitment of 2569 Junior Engineer, Depot Material Superintendent, and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant posts in various RRBs. The online application process for RRB JE Vacancy 2025 will begin on 31st October 2025 and conclude on 30th November 2025.

– Name of post: Junior Engineer (JE), Depot Material Superintendent (DMS), and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA)
– Number of posts: 2569 posts
– Number of posts @ RRB Guwahati: 7 posts
– Age Limit: Candidate age must be between 18 to 33 years as on 1st January 2026
– Pay: Pay level-6, with initial pay of Rs. 35,400/-, plus other allowances admissible at that time
Educational Qualification
The educational qualifications for the posts are as follows:
– Junior Engineer Electrical: Three years Diploma in (a) Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics Engineering OR (b) a combination of any sub stream of basic streams of Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute
– Junior Engineer Civil: (a) Three years Diploma in Civil Engineering or B.Sc. in Civil Engineering of three years duration or (b) a combination of any substream of basic streams of Civil Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute
– Junior Engineer/ Track Machine: (a) Three years Diploma in Mechanical/ Production/ Automobile/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Instrumentation and Control Engineering OR (b) a combination of any sub stream of basic streams of Mechanical/ Production/ Automobile/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Instrumentation and Control Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute
– Junior Engineer Mechanical: Three years Diploma in (a) Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Manufacturing/ Mechatronics/ Industrial/ Machining/ Instrumentation and Control/ Tools and Machining/ Tools and Die Making/ Automobile/ Production Engineering OR (b) a combination of any sub stream of basic streams of Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Manufacturing/ Mechatronics/ Industrial/ Machining/ Instrumentation and Control/ Tools and Machining/ Tools and Die Making/ Automobile/ Production Engineering from a recognized University/Institute
– Junior Engineer/ Diesel Electrical: Three years Diploma in (a) Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics Engineering OR (b) a combination of any sub stream of basic streams of Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute
– Junior Engineer/ S and T/ Telecommunication: Three years Diploma in (a) Electrical/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ Communication Engineering/ Computer Science and Engineering/ Computer Science/ Computer Engineering OR (b) a combination of any sub-stream of basic streams of Electrical/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ Communication Engineering/ Computer Science and Engineering/ Computer Science/ Computer Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute
– Depot Material Superintendent: Three Years Diploma in Engineering in any discipline from a recognized University/ Institution
– Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant: Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Physics and Chemistry with a minimum of 45% marks from a recognized University/ Institute
Examination Fee
Candidates have to pay an examination fee as mentioned below as per their categories or community:

– SC/ST: Rs 250/-
– Ex-Serviceman: Rs 250/-
– Female: Rs 250/-
– Transgender: Rs 250/-
– Minorities: Rs 250/-
– Economically backward class: Rs 250/-
– Others: Rs 500/-
